ACE (Afterschool Centers on Education) at East Austin College Prep is an expanded learning program that takes place after school and during summer – all at no cost to families!

ACE provides academically driven programming that aims to engage learners in new ways with hands-on, exploratory activities. Our programming also aims to encourage students to socialize, build positive relationships, and develop skills that will help them to succeed in school and in life. To assist in our goals, ACE at EAPrep partners with a wide variety of community organizations including the Central Texas Food Bank, Common Threads, Creative Action, Austin Bat Cave, Girls Empowerment Network, ESTEAM Learning Labs, Leap of Joy, and many more.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 – 6:00 pm

Eligibility: Open to all EAPrep students in grades Kindergarten through 8th. Please note, to allow students to get the full benefit of ACE programming, students must be allowed to remain in programming for a minimum of 2 hours.

Afterschool Programming: Activities include homework help, tutoring, and needs-based academic activities focused on reading and math skills. Students also have the opportunity to participate in activities such as writing, STEM, sports, fine arts, college and career readiness, nutrition education, youth leadership and much more.

Family Engagement: ACE also provides monthly programming throughout the school year focused on engaging our ACE families. Activities include Family Science Nights, Paint Nights, potlucks, cooking classes, and parent education opportunities.

Summer Camp: Each summer ACE offers a free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) to eligible EAPrep students. STEAM Camp runs for 6 weeks and provides students with a space to continue learning in a different setting from the normal school-year classroom; weekly field trips for older students are also included.
