Youth Advisory Board Sponsors 2nd College Day

The Youth Advisory Board sponsored its Second Annual College Day at the secondary campus this past Friday, March 10, 2017. The First Annual College Day was located at the elementary campus on March 11, 2016. By popular demand our middle school leaders representing 6th, 7th, and 8th grade put on an amazing event including the opportunity for students to meet representatives from Texas State University, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Huston-Tillotson University. Participants attended a series of ten student moderated stations all focused around the theme of college. At the end of the event, there were several door prizes given to students who completed their college passport. The Youth Advisory Board is grateful to all the speakers, community members, teachers, and staff for all their help.
The Youth Advisory Board is looking forward to sponsoring another College Day for both the elementary campus and high school in May 2017. More information soon to come.
