Students Get Hands-on Experience with How Government Works
Posted on 04/10/2015
Some of EAPrep's students were invited by the Office of Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to participate in a Mock Senate where students had a chance to craft their own bills, defend their merits in a committee setting, forge compromise through teamwork, and vote on a refined, final product. Throughout the day's activities, the Luna Scholars & Fellows were on hand to assist in the process while providing lessons in the process of government and offering civic mentorship to students.
